With the first phase of voting wrapping up next week for the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, here’s a look at Box-Toppers points leaders at each position in both leagues, through the games of Sunday, June 15.
The first phase of fan All-Star voting closes June 26 and the second phase, with finalist voting only, runs from June 30 to July 2. Here is more information about how that works. The All-Star Game is Tuesday, July 15, at the Atlanta Braves’ home stadium, Truist Park.

Both league’s 2024 Box-Toppers points leaders and both league’s 2024 Cy Young Award winners won Player of the Game honors on Friday.

For example, the Philadephia Phillies led all teams with 124.9 Box-Toppers points. Pitchers earned 78.0 of those points, fifth-most among all teams. Box-Toppers’ seven top-ranked teams were all among the top 10 in points earned by pitchers.
However, the World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers were a notable anomaly. While the team finished eighth overall in Box-Toppers points (113.7), they finished 11th in points earned by pitchers (66.2) and third in points earned by batters (47.5).

In five of the six major postseason player awards, the 2024 Box-Toppers points leader for each honor is among the finalists announced by baseball writers Monday.
Here are the five awards for which Box-Toppers top-ranked players are among the finalists:
American League Cy Young Award—Tarik Skubal of the Tigers.
National League Cy Young Award—Zack Wheeler of the Phillies.
AL Most Valuable Player—Aaron Judge of the Yankees.
NL Most Valuable Player—Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.
AL Rookie of the Year—Luis Gil of the Yankees.
Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Eovaldi struck out 10 over seven innings, allowing two runs, four hits and no walks, in the 10-2 win over the White Sox.

Wheeler struck out seven over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks, in the 3-0 win over the Twins. Wheeler did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the game was in a scoreless tie when he exited.
