De Jesus struck out four over four scoreless and hitless innings, walking none, closing out the game and earning the save, in the 8-0 win over the Rays.

Rankings: Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers
Ohtani rises from seventh to fifth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after winning Player of the Game honors Tuesday, increasing his Box-Toppers points lead among NL batters.
Ohtani (3B 2B 2-4 2R 2BI in the 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 9.7 for the season.
This was Ohtani’s eighth Player of the Game honor of 2026 and his third as a designated hitter; the other five have come as a starting pitcher. Because he has more than 25 percent of his Player of the Game honors as a batter (37.5 percent) and a pitcher (62.5 percent), he qualifies to rank at both positions with his full 9.7 Box-Toppers point total.
As a result, he ranks fourth among NL pitchers and first among NL batters, ahead of Ketel Marte of the Diamondbacks (5.5 points). However, separately, his 6.7 points as a pitcher would rank ninth among NL pitchers and his 3.0 points as a designated hitter would rank 18th among NL batters.
In addition, Ohtani becomes the 98th player to reach 100 career Box-Toppers points since player tracking began in 1995. With his 1.0 point Tuesday, Ohtani now has 100.9 career points, 92nd among all players since 1995, passing six players on the “all-time” career points list: Larry Walker (100.1), Jeff Bagwell (100.4), Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo (100.4), Paul Konerko (100.7), Matt Cain (100.7) and Matt Holliday (100.8). Ohtani now trails 92nd-ranked player Jason Schmidt (101.2).
Ohtani ranks 15th among active, signed players in career points, seventh among active NL pitchers and first among active NL batters, ahead of teammate Freddie Freeman (96.9).
Ohtani is the first active batter with more than 100 career Box-Toppers points since Miguel Cabrera retired at the end of 2022 with 159.4 career points, currently 21st among all players since 1995, fourth among all batters since 1995.
However, it should be noted that while Ohtani qualifies to rank among batters, he’s earned most of his career points as a pitcher—54.2 vs. 46.7 earned as a batter.
Notable: Aaron Nola, Phillies
Nola now has 125.5 career Box-Toppers points—49th-most among all players since 1995—after earning Player of the Game honors Tuesday.
Nola (5IP 4H 2R 0BB 8K ND in the 3-2 win over the Padres), with his 1.0 point Tuesday, passes Corey Kluber (125.1) on the “all-time” career points list and now trails 48th-ranked player Mariano Rivera (126.4).
Nola ranks ninth among active, signed players in career points and fourth among active National League pitchers.
Nola now has 4.7 Box-Toppers points in 2026, 19th among NL pitchers.
Also notable: Heriberto Hernández, Marlins
Hernández earned Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors for a second straight day Tuesday (2HR 2-5 2R 3BI in the 7-3 win over the Nationals). He was also Player of the Game in Monday’s 7-3 win over the Nationals (HR 1-2 R 2BI).
Hernández earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point in each of the past two days and now has 3.0 points in 2026, 22nd among NL batters.
Debut
Athletics pitcher Gage Jump made his Box-Toppers debut Tuesday with his first career Player of the Game honor.
Jump (7IP 3H R BB 5K W in the 2-1 win over the Cubs) made his Major League debut May 26 and was playing in his second career game.
Scoring
Harrison earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points as Player of the Day.
De Jesus earns 1.7 points as AL Player of the Day.
Steer and Pederson each earn 1.5 points as their league’s Batter of the Day.
All of Tuesday’s other Player of the Game winners (listed in the chart) earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point.
