Giancarlo Stanton of the Yankees is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Stanton hit two home runs and went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in six runs, in the 15-7 win over the White Sox.

Stanton earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 42nd among all players and seventh among American League batters.

Stanton is the first batter to win overall Player of the Day honors in 2022.

National League Player of the Day—Mark Canha of the Mets homered and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 4-1 win over the Nationals.

Canha earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and now ranks 22nd among NL batters.

Stephenson (HR 3-4 2R 2BI in the 4-0 win over the Pirates) was also Player of the Game in Wednesday’s 14-11 win over the Brewers (2-2B 3-5 2R 4BI). It is Stephenson’s third Player of the Game honor in six days—he also did it Saturday.
