Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski earned Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors in Friday’s World Series Game 1 win over the Rays.

Misiorowski struck out three over five innings, allowing one run on four hits and one walk, as Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay 3-2 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Misiorowski led all players in 2026 with 26.1 Box-Toppers points. Friday marked his first Player of the Game honor of the 2026 postseason. He pitched fewer than five innings in both previous postseason starts without earning top player honors, though Milwaukee won both contests (NLDS Game 1 on Oct. 3 and NLCS Game 1 on Oct. 11). In five September starts, he pitched more than six innings only once, but still earned Player of the Game honors four times (4.7 points).

Misiorowski won Player of the Game honors twice in the 2025 postseason in his rookie season with the Brewers.

Reliever Aaron Ashby recorded a +4.2 game score, highest among all players in World Series Game 1, but did not win Player of the Game.

Misiorowski had the third-highest Box-Toppers game score among Brewers players Friday (+1.0), but earned Player of the Game honors because the top two performers did not pitch at least three innings and did not record a win or save:

  • Reliever Aaron Ashby recorded a +4.2 game score, highest among all players in the game (1.2IP 0H 0R 0BB 3K ND), pitching in the seventh and eighth innings.

  • Reliever Abner Uribe recorded a +2.1 game score (1.1IP H 0R 0BB 2K ND), pitching in the sixth and seventh innings.

Jackson Chourio had the best Box-Toppers game score among Brewers batters in World Series Game 1.

Nick Martinez had the highest Box-Toppers game score among Rays players in the World Series Game 1 loss.
