Player of the Day: William Contreras, Brewers
Contreras homered, doubled and went 4-for-4, scoring three times and driving in four runs, in the 13-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Contreras earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 83rd in season player rankings, 20th among National League batters.
Contreras is the third batter to win overall Player of the Day honors in 2026, joining Matt Olson of the Braves, who did it April 2 and Max Muncy of the Dodgers, who did it April 20. Pitchers have won Player of the Day honors on the other 35 days of the season.
AL Player of the Day: Jeremiah Jackson, Orioles
Jackson hit a grand slam, doubled and went 2-for-5, scoring once and driving in five runs, in the 10-3 win over the Astros.
Jackson earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 4.2 for the season, 12th among all players and rising to first among AL batters, passing previous leader, Riley Greene of the Tigers (3.5 points).
