Max Muncy of the Dodgers is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to ninth place in season player rankings and first place among National League batters.
Also Monday, Blue Jays pitcher Dylan Cease rises to eighth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning National League Player of the Day honors.

Player of the Day: Max Muncy, Dodgers
Muncy hit two home runs and went 4-for-4, scoring four times and driving in two runs, in the 12-3 win over the Rockies.
Muncy earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.7 for the season, rising to ninth in season player rankings and first among NL batters, passing previous leader Alec Burleson of the Cardinals (3.0), who falls to second place.
Muncy is the second batter to win overall Player of the Day honors in 2026, joining Matt Olson of the Braves, who did it April 2. Pitchers have won Player of the Day honors on the other 20 days of the season.
AL Player of the Day: Dylan Cease, Blue Jays
Cease struck out 12 over five innings, allowing two runs, two hits and two walks, in the 5-2 win over the Angels.
Cease earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 3.7 for the season, eighth in season player rankings and sixth among AL pitchers.
AL Batter of the Day: Christian Walker, Astros
Walker homered, doubled and went 3-for-5, scoring three times and driving in two runs, in the 9-2 win over the Guardians.
Walker earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 2.5 for the season, second among AL batters, behind Brayan Rocchio of the Guardians (3.5 points).
NL Batter of the Day
There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Monday because the overall NL Player of the Day is batter Max Muncy.
