Yankees pitcher Ryan Weathers is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Also Sunday, Brayan Rocchio of the Guardians rises to first place among American League batters in 2026 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors.
Other Player of the Game winners Sunday include Marlins pitcher Eury Pérez, Kazuma Okamoto of the Blue Jays and Michael Harris II of the Braves.
Player of the Day: Ryan Weathers, Yankees
Weathers struck out eight over 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing five hits and one walk, in the 7-0 win over the Royals.
Weathers earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 59th in season player rankings, 23rd among American League pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Eury Pérez, Marlins
Pérez struck out seven over six innings, allowing one run (none earned), three hits and one walk, in the 7-3 win over the Brewers.
Pérez earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being National League Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 71st in season player rankings, 30th among NL pitchers.
AL Batter of the Day: Kazuma Okamoto, Blue Jays
Okamoto homered, doubled and went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
This was Okamoto’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Okamoto made his Major League debut March 27 and was playing in his 20th career game. Okamoto, 29, played 11 seasons in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) league. He was a six-time NPB All-Star and led the Central League in home runs three times.
NL Batter of the Day: Michael Harris II, Braves
Harris homered and went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in one run, in the 4-2 win over the Phillies.
