Mariners pitcher Emerson Hancock is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Meanwhile, Joey Wiemer of the Nationals rises to first place in early season player rankings, earning his second Player of the Game honor of the season.
Other Player of the Game winners Sunday include Yandy Díaz of the Rays, Christian Yelich of the Brewers and Eugenio Suárez of the Reds.
Player of the Day: Emerson Hancock, Mariners
Hancock pitched six no-hit and scoreless innings, striking out nine and allowing one walk, in the 8-0 win over the Guardians.
Hancock came out of the game after throwing 93 pitches. Reliever Cooper Criswell subsequently gave up two hits, but picked up the three-inning save.
Hancock earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks seventh in season player rankings.
NL Player of the Day: Joey Wiemer, Nationals
Wiemer hit a three-run homer, tripled and went 3-for-3, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 6-3 win over the Cubs.
Wiemer earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 2.7 for the season and rising to first place in season player rankings, passing previous leader, Phillies pitcher Cristopher Sánchez (2.0 points).
This is Wiemer’s second Box-Toppers honor of 2026. He also earned 1.0 point as Player of the Game on Thursday.
Wiemer earned no points in either 2024 (with the Brewers and Reds) or in 2025 (with the Royals, Marlins and Giants). Before 2026, he had 1.5 career Box-Toppers points earned with the Brewers on May 8, 2023.
AL Batter of the Day: Yandy Díaz, Rays
Díaz doubled and went 5-for-6, scoring twice and driving in four runs, in the 11-7 win over the Cardinals.

Suárez hit a go-ahead, three-run homer in the 3-2 win over the Red Sox.
