Top 10 players
Here are the top 10 players in 2025 Box-Toppers points (BTP) earned in the regular season through Saturday, Sept. 13.Player | Pos | Team | BTP | |

Also Saturday, Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies rises to first place among National League batters in 2025 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors.
Other Player of the Game winners Saturday include Pirates pitcher Bubba Chandler, Manny Machado of the Padres and Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Yankees.
Player of the Day
Woo struck out 13 over six innings, allowing two runs, three hits and one walk, in the 5-3 win over the Angels.
Woo earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 17.0 for the season, rising from ninth to sixth place among all players. He ranks third among American League pitchers, behind Tarik Skubal of the Tigers (22.1 points) and Garrett Crochet of the Red Sox (17.8 points). It is unlikely Woo can pass Skubal for the lead among AL pitchers. He probably has two starts remaining this season, so earning the maximum of 2.0 Box-Toppers points each start would give him 21.0, still short of Skubal’s current 22.1 total.
National League Player of the Day
Pirates pitcher Bubba Chandler struck out seven over six innings, allowing one run, two hits and no walks, in the 5-1 win over the Nationals. Chandler did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Pirates were trailing when he exited.
Chandler earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 2.7 for the season, 100th among NL pitchers.
National League Batter of the Day
Manny Machado of the Padres homered and went 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 11-3 win over the Rockies.
Machado earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 9.5 for the season, 41st among all players and third among NL batters, behind Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies (12.0 points) and Christian Yelich of the Brewers (11.2 points). Machado ranks ahead of two other NL batters who both have 9.5 points—Seiya Suzuki and Pete Crow-Armstrong, both of the Cubs—because he has more 2024 points: Machado has 7.0, Suzuki has 6.0 and Crow-Armstrong has 1.0.
American League Batter of the Day
Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Yankees homered and went 3-for-5, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 5-3 win over the Red Sox.
Chisholm earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 7.2 for the season, 12th among AL batters and most among Yankees batters, passing Aaron Judge (6.5 points).
Rankings
Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies rises to first place among NL batters in 2025 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors Saturday.
Schwarber (HR 2-3 2R 2BI in the 8-6 win over the Royals) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 12.0 for the season, 21st among all players. He passes previous NL batting leader Christian Yelich of the Brewers (11.2 points), who falls to second place.
Debut
Troy Johnston of the Marlins made his Box-Toppers debut Saturday with his first career Player of the Game honor.
Johnston (2HR 2-4 2R 3BI in the 6-4, 11-inning win over the Tigers) made his Major League debut July 29 and was playing in his 33rd career game.

About Box-Toppers
Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. In regular season games, players earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
