Rays pitcher Rich Hill is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Thursday, Marlins pitcher Trevor Rogers rises to eighth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Hill struck out nine over 6 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks, in the 9-1 win over the Yankees.

Hill earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 50th among all players and 20th among American League pitchers.
