Michael Harris II of the Braves rises to first place among NL batters in 2026 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors.

Streak: Zack Wheeler, Phillies

Wheeler has now earned Box-Toppers points in 10 straight seasons with his first Player of the Game honor of 2026.

Wheeler (6IP 3H R 2BB 8K W in the 6-5 win over the Marlins) earned his first Box-Toppers points in 2013 with the Mets. However, since he earned no points in both 2015 and 2016, his 10-season streak did not begin until 2017 with the Mets.

Wheeler now has 126.1 career Box-Toppers points, 47th-most among all players since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995. With his 1.0 point Friday, he passes Red Sox pitcher Sonny Gray (125.3) on the “all-time” career points list and now trails 46th-ranked player, Mariano Rivera (126.4). Wheeler ranks seventh among active, signed players in career points and third among active NL pitchers, behind Chris Sale of the Braves (188.5) and Yu Darvish of the Padres (144.4).

Wheeler’s best season was 2024 with the Phillies when he had 21.4 Box-Toppers points to lead all players. In 2025, he earned 20.1 Box-Toppers points with the Phillies, third overall and second among NL pitchers. Wheeler ranked high in 2025 despite missing more than a month at the end of the season with venous thoracic outlet syndrome. This is his second start since returning from thoracic outlet decompression surgery.

Zack Wheeler, Phillies, has now earned Box-Toppers points in 10 straight seasons with his first Player of the Game honor of 2026.
