Also Tuesday, Brandon Crawford of the Giants rises to first place among National League batters in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning NL Batter of the Day honors.

Player of the Day—Glasnow struck out 11 over seven innings, allowing one run, six hits and one walk, in the 3-1 win over the Nationals.

Glasnow earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 12.7 for the season, extending his lead both overall and among American League pitchers. He ranks ahead of  Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole (10.7) in both categories.

Glasnow has led player rankings since June 26. He previously led player rankings from April 12 until May 12.

National League Player of the Day—Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez struck out eight over eight innings, allowing two runs, five hits and no walks, in the 6-2 win over the Rockies.

Crawford earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.5 for the season, rising to first place among NL batters, passing previous leader Jesse Winker of the Reds (5.0). Crawford ranks 32nd among all players.
