Dodgers lead team rankings for 6th week; Yankees maintain lead among AL teams

The Los Angeles Dodgers lead in Box-Toppers team rankings for the sixth consecutive week.

Here are Box-Toppers 2026 team rankings through games of Thursday, June 18. The column BTP shows the number of Box-Toppers points players on the team have accumulated this season. The column BTP/wk shows the number of points teams have accumulated in the past week. The column Wk ago shows the team's rank as of June 11.

The New York Yankees maintain the lead among American League teams, while the New York Mets earned the most points in the past week.

Dodgers lead

The Dodgers remain in first place overall with 62.6 Box-Toppers points, gaining 5.7 this past week. They lead National League teams for the 11th straight week, ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers (57.2 points, +5.0 this week).

The Dodgers have baseball’s best winning percentage (.640) and are led by Shohei Ohtani with 10.7 Box-Toppers points (3.0 as a batter and 7.7 as a pitcher). He ranks third overall, first among NL batters and third among NL pitchers. Other key Dodgers players include pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto (7.7 points, 10th among NL pitchers) and Andy Pages (4.7 points, seventh among NL batters). Eighteen Dodgers have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.

Yankees lead AL teams

The Yankees lead AL teams for the 10th straight week with 56.6 Box-Toppers points (gaining 4.5 this week), ahead of the Seattle Mariners (fifth overall, 51.5 points). The Yankees maintain third place overall.

New York has the best winning percentage among AL teams (.616) and is led by pitcher Cam Schlittler (9.7 points, ninth overall, fourth among AL pitchers). The Yankees’ top batter is Cody Bellinger (4.0 points, seventh among AL batters). Twenty-four Yankees have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.

Hottest team: New York Mets

The Mets gained a week-high 6.2 Box-Toppers points, rising from 27th to 25th place overall (39.2 points), winning four of their seven games.

Biggest jump: Minnesota Twins

The Twins climbed a week-high four spots from 20th to 16th place (43.8, +5.5) after winning five of their six games.

Biggest fall: Texas Rangers

The Rangers sank six spots from 12th to 18th place (42.8 points, +1.0), winning just one of their six games.

Last place: Colorado Rockies

The Rockies rank 30th for the second consecutive week with 32.7 points, picking up 3.0 in the past week.

Tracking who most helps their teams win the most games, based on box score stats. A method to measure & compare baseball's top players.

Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. Players earn Box-Toppers points for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
