Player of the Day: Bryan Woo, Mariners
Woo struck out six over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 3-1, 10-inning win over the Angels. Woo did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the game was in a scoreless tie when he exited.
Woo earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is seventh in season player rankings. He earned 18.0 points in 2025, fifth among all players and third among American League pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Aaron Nola, Phillies
Nola struck out nine over 6 1/3 innings, allowing one run, five hits and one walk, in the 10-1 win over the Rockies.
Nola earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 18th in season player rankings.
Nola has now earned Box-Toppers points in 12 consecutive seasons. He earned his first points in 2015 with the Phillies and now has 122.5 career points, 52nd among all players since 1995 when Box-Toppers tracking began. He trails 51st-ranked player Gary Sheffield (124.1).
He ranks ninth among active, signed players in career points and fourth among active National League pitchers.
Nola’s best season was 2018 with the Phillies when he had 21.1 Box-Toppers points, fifth overall and second among NL pitchers. He earned 5.7 points in 2025 with the Phillies, 51st among NL pitchers.
AL Batter of the Day: Tristan Gray, Twins
Gray hit a grand slam and a sacrifice fly, in the 10-4 win over the Rays. Gray went 1-for-2, scoring once and driving in five runs.
This was Gray’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Gray made his Major League debut Sept. 16, 2023, and was playing in his 51st career game.
NL Batter of the Day: Andy Pages, Dodgers
Pages hit a home run and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in two runs, in the 13-6 win over the Nationals.

Judge has now earned Box-Toppers points in 10 straight seasons after earning his first Player of the Game honor of 2026 on Friday.
Judge (HR 2-3 2R 3BI in the 8-2 win over the Marlins) earned his first points in 2017 with the Yankees and now has 75.9 career points, sixth among active AL batters.
His best season was 2022 with the Yankees, when he had 13.2 points, first among AL batters. He also led AL batters in 2024 with 13.0 points. In 2025, he earned 6.5 points with the Yankees, 20th among AL batters. (Why MVP favorites didn’t perform well in Box-Toppers in 2025.)
Debut
Marcelo Mayer of the Red Sox made his Box-Toppers debut Friday with his first career Player of the Game honor.
Mayer (HR 2B 2-2 2R 2BI in the 5-2 win over the Padres) made his Major League debut May 24, 2025, and was playing in his 51st career game.
