Other top players Thursday include Samuel Basallo of the Orioles, Phillies pitcher Tim Mayza, Jake Cronenworth of the Padres and Mets pitcher Kodai Senga.
Player of the Day: Brayan Bello, Red Sox
Bello struck out seven over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 4-2 win over the Twins.
Bello earned 7.4 Box-Toppers points in 2025, 37th among American League pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Tim Mayza, Phillies

Mayza earned no Box-Toppers points in 2025 in 15 appearances with the Pirates and Phillies. He was limited by a left lat strain which put him on the injured list in April, returning in September. Mayza has 7.0 career Box-Toppers points and last earned point in 2023 with the Blue Jays when he had 2.0.
AL Batter of the Day: Samuel Basallo, Orioles
Basallo hit two home runs and went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 5-2 win over the Pirates.
Basallo, 21, appeared in 31 games for the Orioles in 2025 but earned no Box-Toppers points. His rookie status is still intact for 2026.
NL Batter of the Day: Jake Cronenworth, Padres
Cronenworth doubled and went 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 13-6 win over the White Sox.
Cronenworth earned 1.0 Box-Toppers point in 2025 in 135 games played. He had 4.5 points in 2024, fifth among NL second basemen.
