Pallante struck out four over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 7-1 win over the Marlins.
Pallante earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 5.7 for the season, 79th among all players and 31st among NL pitchers.
American League Player of the Day
Tigers pitcher Troy Melton struck out five over seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks, in the 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
Melton earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 111th among AL pitchers.
This was also Melton’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Melton made his Major League debut July 23 and was playing in his second career game.
National League Batter of the Day
Christian Yelich of the Brewers homered, doubled and went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 8-4 win over the Cubs.
Yelich earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 9.7 for the season, 19th among all players and rising to first among NL batters, passing previous leader Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs (9.5), who falls to second place.
American League Batter of the Day
Colson Montgomery of the White Sox homered and went 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 6-2 win over the Phillies.
This was Montgomery’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Montgomery made his Major League debut July 4 and was playing in his 20th career game.

Rockies pitcher Bradley Blalock (6IP 6H 0R 0BB 7K ND in the 8-6 win over the Guardians) made his Major League debut June 20, 2024, and was playing in his 15th career game.
Orioles relief pitcher Corbin Martin (1.2IP H 0R 0BB 4K W in the 11-4 win over the Blue Jays) made his Major League debut May 12, 2019, and was playing in his 23rd career game.
Nationals pitcher Brad Lord (5.1IP H R BB 2K ND in the 2-1 win over the Astros) made his Major League debut March 30 and was playing in his 37th career game.
DaShawn Keirsey Jr. of the Twins (HR 2-4 R 2BI in the 5-4 win over the Red Sox) made his Major League debut Sept. 5, 2024, and was playing in his 69th career game.
