The Philadelphia Phillies lead Box-Toppers team rankings at the All-Star break, leading for the 12th straight week.

Here are Box-Toppers 2024 final team rankings through games of Sunday, July 14. The column BTP shows the number of Box-Toppers points players on the team accumulated this season. The column BTP/wk shows have many points teams accumulated from July 5 to July 14. The column Wk ago shows the team's rank as of July 4.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles continue to lead American League teams and the Detroit Tigers are the hottest team since the last report July 4.

Phillies lead

Phillies players have accumulated 80.5 Box-Toppers points this season, picking up 5.0 points since July 4. They lead over the second-place Orioles (72.9 points) by 7.6 points. The Phillies lead National League teams ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers (fifth place overall with 68.0 points).

The Phillies have baseball’s best winning percentage (.646) and are led by pitcher Zack Wheeler (11.7 points, fifth overall and third among NL pitchers). Phillies top batter is Bryce Harper (7.7 points, second among NL batters). Nineteen different Phillies players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2024.

Orioles lead AL teams

The Baltimore Orioles lead American League teams for the third week with 72.9 Box-Toppers points, picking up 3.0 since the last report on July 4.

The Orioles rank second overall.

They lead over the second-ranked AL team, the New York Yankees (70.6 points, third overall). The Orioles have the second-best winning percentage among AL teams (.604) behind the Cleveland Guardians (.611), who are fourth in Box-Toppers team rankings with 68.8 points.

The Orioles are led by pitcher Corbin Burnes (7.7 points, 35th overall and 16th among AL pitchers). Orioles top batter is Ryan Mountcastle (5.0 points, fifth among AL batters). Twenty-seven different Orioles players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2024.

Hottest team: Tigers

The Detroit Tigers are the hottest team since the last team rankings report July 4, picking up 10.2 points over that period, most among all teams, rising from 20th to 15th place in season player rankings with 58.0 points. Their five-spot rise is also largest among all teams.

The Tigers have won eight of their 10 games since July 4.

Biggest fall: Nationals

The Washington Nationals fell seven spots in team rankings, from 15th to 22nd with 51.2 points, with a net loss of 0.2 points since July 4.

The Nationals went 3-7 since July 4, picking up 3.5 points in wins. But they lost 3.7 points in player transactions, trading pitcher Hunter Harvey (1.7 points in 2024) to the Royals and releasing batter Nick Senzel (2.0 points in 2024).

Last place: White Sox

The Chicago White Sox remain in 30th and last place for the seventh week with 32.1 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.0 points in the past week.

Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. Players earn Box-Toppers points for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
