Orioles pitcher Tyler Wells is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Saturday, Jake Fraley of the Reds rises to lead National League batters in 2023 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors for the second straight day.

Player of the Day—Wells struck out eight over seven scoreless innings. Allowing one hit and two walks, in the 2-0 win over the Pirates.

Wells earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 61st among all players and 23rd among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Dominic Fletcher of the Diamondbacks homered, tripled and went 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in five runs, in the 7-2 win over the Giants.

Fletcher earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 2.7 for the season, 14th among NL batters.

This is the second straight day Fletcher has earned Player of the Game honors. He also did it Friday in the 7-5 win over the Giants (HR 2B 3-4 R 4BI). That game was his Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor in his 11th career game.

Dominic Fletcher of the Diamondbacks is Saturday’s Box-Toppers National League Player of the Day.

American League Batter of the Day—Aaron Judge of the Yankees hit two home runs and went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in four runs, in the 9-8 win over the Rays.

Judge earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 3.5 for the season, fourth among AL batters.

Aaron Judge of the Yankees is Saturday’s Box-Toppers American League Batter of the Day.

National League Batter of the Day—There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Saturday because the overall NL Player of the Day is batter Dominic Fletcher.

Jake Fraley of the Reds is Box-Toppers Player of the Game in Saturday’s win over the Marlins.
