Rockies pitcher Chad Kuhl is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Kuhl pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout, striking out five and walking none, in the 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Kuhl earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 89th among all players and 35th among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman struck out 10 over seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks, in the 7-2 win over the Red Sox.

Gausman earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 6.7 for the season, 25th among all players and 12th among AL pitchers.

Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman is Monday’s Box-Toppers AL Player of the Day.

American League Batter of the Day—Brandon Marsh of the Angels tripled and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in one run, in the 4-3 win over the White Sox.

This was Marsh’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Marsh made his Major League debut July 18, 2021, and was playing in his 138th career game.

Brandon Marsh of the Angels is Monday’s Box-Toppers AL Batter of the Day.

National League Batter of the Day—Luis Garcia of the Nationals hit two doubles and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in no runs, in the 3-2 win over the Pirates.

This was Garcia’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Garcia made his Major League debut Aug. 14, 2020, and was playing in his 135th career game.

Notable—Twins pitcher Sonny Gray has the most 2022 Box-Toppers points among the nine who earned Player of the Game honors Monday.
