Also Saturday, Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias rises to eighth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Houser pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout, striking out seven and walking none, in the 4-0 win over the Cardinals.

Houser earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 7.0 for the season, 75th among all players and 34th among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Angels pitcher Jose Suarez pitched a complete game, striking out eight and allowing one run, five hits and no walks, in the 4-1 win over the Rangers.

American League Batter of the Day—Kyle Seager of the Mariners hit a pair of three-run home runs and went 2-for-5, scoring twice and driving in six runs, in the 8-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Seager earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, 10th among AL batters.

National League Batter of the Day—Francisco Lindor of the Mets homered and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in four runs, in the 11-9 win over the Nationals.

Lindor earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.5 for the season, 21st among NL batters.

Rankings—Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias rises from 10th to eighth in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Saturday.

Urias (5.2IP 8H R 0BB 8K W in the 6-1 win over the Giants) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 15.4 for the season. He ranks sixth among NL pitchers.

Notable—Fernando Tatis Jr. of the Padres becomes the 36th player this season to reach 10 Box-Toppers points after earning Player of the Game honors Saturday.

Tatis (HR 2-3 2R 4BI in the 10-2 win over the Astros) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 10.2 for the season, 31st among all players and second among NL batters, behind Nick Castellanos of the Reds (10.5).

Tatis is currently the third batter with 10 or more Box-Toppers points, in addition to Castellanos and J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox (10.7). Shohei Ohtani of the Angels, who has 16.1 Box-Toppers points, was another batter to reach 10 points, but lost his Box-Toppers classification as a batter Friday after earning an overwhelming majority of his Player of the Game honors this season as a pitcher.
