Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow leads Box-Toppers weekly season player rankings report for the second straight week.

Meanwhile, J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox continues to lead American League batters, Trevor Rogers of the Marlins rises to lead National League pitchers and Bryan Reynolds of the Pirates rises to lead NL batters.

Here are the top 10 in Box-Toppers season player rankings for 2021. Players are ranked by Box-Toppers points (BTP) earned this season through Thursday, April 22.

Glasnow has 5.0 Box-Toppers points in 2021, earning 1.0 point in the past week, maintaining his lead among all players and among AL pitchers, ahead of Shane Bieber of the Indians (4.7), who ranks second overall and among AL pitchers.

American League batters—J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox leads for the second week with 4.7 Box-Toppers points, picking up 1.5 points in the past week, third among all players. He ranks ahead of second-place AL batter Kyle Seager of the Mariners (2.5 points).

National League pitchers—Trevor Rogers of the Marlins leads with 4.0 Box-Toppers points, fifth among all players. He passes last week’s leader Joe Musgrove of the Pirates, who falls to sixth among NL pitchers with 3.0 points. Rogers ranks ahead of second-place NL pitcher, Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers (3.7 points).

National League batters—Bryan Reynolds of the Pirates rises to the lead with 2.0 Box-Toppers points. He’s earned Player of the Game honors twice so far in 2021 (on April 18 and April 22). He passes last week’s NL batting leader, Justin Turner of the Dodgers, who falls to third with 1.7 points. Though Reynolds and second-place NL batter Andrew Young of the Diamondbacks both have  2.0 Box-Toppers points in 2021, Reynolds ranks ahead because he has more 2020 Box-Toppers points—3.0 vs. 0.0.

Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. Players earn Box-Toppers points for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
