Yamamoto tops players in 3 of 4 Dodgers’ World Series wins, as LA wins title in 7 games

Yoshinobu Yamamoto is Box-Toppers Player of the Game as the Los Angeles Dodgers complete a dramatic, extra-innings Game 7 comeback Saturday to win the 2025 World Series in seven games over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Yamamoto, normally a starter who came in as a closing pitcher Saturday, won his fifth Box-Toppers Player of the Game honor of the 2025 postseason, his third in the Dodgers’ four World Series wins and also won top player honors in back-to-back games, having won as the team’s starting pitcher in Game 6.

Alejandro Kirk of the Blue Jays, who homered and went 3-for-3, scoring three times and driving in two runs, is Box-Toppers Player of the Game in Friday’s World Series Game 1.
