The New York Yankees maintain their Box-Toppers points lead among American League teams despite making few trades before the Aug. 3 deadline. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays had the biggest net gain in points this week—they had the third-biggest net gain in points from trade deadline deals and won four of their seven games.
Dodgers lead overall
The Dodgers lead all teams with 100.6 Box-Toppers points, gaining 14.4 points over the past week despite going 0-6 on the field. Their entire 14.4-point gain came via trade deadline acquisitions:
Starting pitcher Tarik Skubal from the Tigers (8.7 points)
Starting pitcher Kris Bubic from the Royals (4.7 points)
Catcher Hunter Feduccia from the Rays (1.0 point)
(They also acquired catcher Ben Rortvedt from the Mets, who has no Box-Toppers points in 2026.)
This is the second straight week the Dodgers have led team rankings. The Dodgers have led 10 of the past 11 reports and 15 of the past 17. They have led National League teams in 17 of the 18 total reports this season.
The Dodgers are just 0.3 points ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers (100.3). The Brewers gained 15.7 points in the past week—5.0 in four wins and a net of 10.7 in trade-deadline deals. The Brewers also rank second among NL teams.
The Dodgers have baseball’s third-best winning percentage (.600) behind the Brewers (.626) and the Atlanta Braves (.609). The Braves rank fifth overall with 83.6 points, gaining 13.3 in the past week (including an 8.4-point net gain in trade-deadline deals), moving up from eighth place last week.

The Yankees lead AL teams for the 16th straight week with 84.5 Box-Toppers points, gaining 6.9 points in the past week (including a 2.2-point net gain in trade-deadline deals). The Yankees lead the second-place AL team, the Tampa Bay Rays, who fall from fifth to seventh overall with 82.3 points, gaining 9.2 points in the past week (including a net 4.2-point gain with trade-deadline deals).
New York has the second-best winning percentage among AL teams (.557), behind the Rays (.596), who lead the Yankees in the AL East by 4.5 games.
The Yankees are led by pitcher Cam Schlittler (15.7 points, fifth overall, second among AL pitchers). The Yankees’ top batter is Jazz Chisholm Jr. (5.5 points, seventh among AL batters). Twenty-six Yankees have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Biggest gain and rise: Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto posted the biggest overall leap this week, adding 18.8 Box-Toppers points and jumping 12 spots from 21st to ninth place (78.4 points).
