Player of the Day: Cooper Criswell, Mariners

Criswell struck out five over 3 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks, in the 4-3 win over the Royals. Criswell did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Royals tied the game after he exited.

Criswell spent most of 2025 in the minor leagues, making just seven Major League appearances for the Red Sox and did not earn Player of the Game honors. However, in his 2024 rookie season, he earned 5.0 Box-Toppers points for the Red Sox in 26 games, 62nd among American League pitchers.

NL Player of the Day: Brandon Williamson, Reds.

NL Player of the Day: Brandon Williamson, Reds

Williamson struck out three over three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 8-1 win over the Rockies.

Williamson earned 4.7 Box-Toppers points in 2023 with the Reds, but earned none in both 2024 and 2025 as he battled injury—first a left shoulder strain, followed by a complete UCL tear requiring Tommy John surgery, which kept him out all of last season.

AL Batter of the Day: Brent Rooker, Athletics.

AL Batter of the Day: Brent Rooker, Athletics

Rooker homered, doubled and went 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 11-7 win over the White Sox.

Rooker earned 2.0 Box-Toppers points in 2025, playing in all 162 games.

This is Rooker’s second Player of the Game honor of the 2026 spring training season. He also did it Feb. 26 in the 7-3 win over the Rangers (HR 2-3 R 3BI), when he was AL Player of the Day.

NL Batter of the Day: Pablo Reyes, Padres

Reyes went 2-for-2, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 10-2 win over the Angels.

Reyes earned his only Box-Toppers points (1.5) in 2023 with the Red Sox, earning none in 2024 or 2025.
