Jarren Duran of the Red Sox is Box-Toppers Player of the Day in Saturday’s spring training games.

Player of the Day: Jarren Duran, Red Sox

Duran hit two home runs and went 2-for-2, scoring three times and driving in four runs, in the 13-8 win over the Twins.

Duran earned 6.0 Box-Toppers points in 2025, 25th among American League batters.

NL Player of the Day: Javier Assad, Cubs

Assad struck out four over three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 6-2 win over the Dodgers. While Ben Brown earned the win as the pitcher of record, Assad’s dominant relief appearance (sixth through eighth innings) earned him NL Player of the Day honors.

Assad earned 2.0 Box-Toppers points in 2025, 112th among National League pitchers. He missed most of the 2025 season with a strained left oblique, making just eight appearances. He earned 6.0 Box-Toppers points in 2024, 53rd among NL pitchers, making 29 starts.

Haase hit a grand slam and went 2-for-3, scoring once and driving in four runs, in the 8-2 win over the Athletics.
