Wheeler leads
Wheeler has 19.1 Box-Toppers points in 2025, picking up 1.0 point in the past week, leading second-place player, Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal (16.4 points). He leads NL pitchers ahead of second-place Nick Pivetta of the Padres (14.7 points).
Wheeler led all players in Box-Toppers points in 2024 with 21.4.
American League pitchers
Tarik Skubal of the Tigers leads for the third week with 16.4 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.0 points in the past week. He leads over second-place AL pitcher Garrett Crochet of the Red Sox (13.1 points).

National League batters
Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs leads NL batters for the third week with 9.5 Box-Toppers points, picking up 1.0 point in the past week. He leads ahead of second-place Christian Yelich of the Brewers (8.2 points).
Suzuki ranks 17th among all players.
American League batters
Riley Greene of the Tigers leads AL batters for the ninth week with 9.0 Box-Toppers points, picking up no points in the past week. He leads ahead of second-place AL batter George Springer of the Blue Jays (8.7 points).
Greene ranks 21st among all players.

Batters won Player of the Game honors in 41 of the 95 games played in the past week (43.2 percent) with pitchers winning the other 54 (56.8 percent).
Batters’ share of Player of the Game honors for the season increased from 39.0 percent last week to 39.3 percent this week (605 times in 1,540 total games). Pitchers have won Player of the Game honors in the other 935 games (60.7 percent).
Batters also had an increase in their share of Box-Toppers points earned this season from 39.2 percent last week to 39.4 percent this week (722.9 points out of 1,834.7 total awarded). Pitchers have won 60.6 percent of all points.
Last year, batters had the lowest share of points compared to pitchers (37.2 percent) in any season since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995.
While batters have struggled to reach parity with pitchers in recent seasons, it wasn’t always this way: From 1995 to 2009, batters generally won half or more of all Box-Toppers points each season. But their share of points dropped precipitously after 2009.
