Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Thursday, Braves pitcher Kyle Wright rises to second place in season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Manoah struck out seven over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 1-0 win over the Red Sox.

Manoah earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 15th among all players and fourth among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta struck out seven over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 3-2 win over the Pirates. Peralta did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Pirates took the lead after he exited.

Peralta earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks 66th among all players and 30th among NL pitchers.
