The Houston Astros, Box-Toppers’ lowest-ranked team in the 2020 postseason, face the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series.
The Astros ranked 17th among all teams in Box-Toppers regular season rankings. The Rays meanwhile ranked ninth among all teams, though they had the best record in the AL and were the top-seeded AL team in the playoffs.

George Springer of the Astros is top player in Tuesday’s 5-2 win over the Athletics.
Manuel Margot of the Rays is top player in Tuesday’s 7-5 win over the Yankees.

Rays pitcher Blake Snell topped players Tuesday in the four American League Wild Card games to open the 2020 postseason.
Snell was Player of the Game in the 3-1 win over the Blue Jays. In addition, Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole, White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito and Astros pitcher Framber Valdez were Player of the Game winners Tuesday in their AL Wild Card Game 1 wins.

Meanwhile, the Oakland Athletics rise to lead American League teams and the Cleveland Indians are the hottest team since the last rankings report Sept. 17.

Also Tuesday, Indians pitcher Shane Bieber increased his lead in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning American League Player of the Day honors and seems to have an insurmountable lead to be Box-Toppers’ 2020 Player of the Year.
In addition, two other players rise in Box-Toppers season player rankings top 10 list after both earn Player of the Game honors Tuesday—Twins pitcher Kenta Maeda rises to seventh place and Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow rises to eighth place.
