Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski is Box-Toppers Player of the Game in Saturday’s National League Division Series Game 5, as the Milwaukee Brewers win the series, eliminating the Chicago Cubs.

Misiorowski struck out three over four innings of middle relief, allowing one run, three hits, no walks and earning the win.

Kirby tops players in Friday’s ALDS Game 5, as Mariners eliminate Tigers in 15 innings

Mariners pitcher George Kirby is Box-Toppers Player of the Game in Friday’s American League Division Series Game 5, as the Seattle Mariners win the series, eliminating the Detroit Tigers.

The game took six extra innings to finish and was tied 2-2 from the seventh inning until Jorge Polanco of the Mariners hit a single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 15th inning to win it, 3-2. However, Player of the Game winner Kirby’s contributions came entirely within the game’s first six innings.

Also Friday, Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani rises to seventh place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors. However, by earning Friday’s honor as a pitcher, Ohtani no longer qualifies to be ranked among batters and so loses his lead among American League batters in Box-Toppers season player rankings.
