Player of the Day: Logan Gilbert, Mariners
Gilbert struck out seven over 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 11-0 win over the Blue Jays.
Gilbert allowed only one baserunner, Yohendrick Piñango, who hit a fifth-inning single.
Gilbert earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 11.0 for the season, ninth among all players and fourth among American League pitchers.
He becomes the 10th player this season to reach 10 Box-Toppers points. It is his fifth straight season with 10 or more points. His best season was 2022 with the Mariners with 14.1 points, 12th among AL pitchers. In 2025, he had 13.1 points, 10th among AL pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Dodgers
Yamamoto struck out 10 over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks, in the 3-0 win over the Padres.
Yamamoto earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points as National League Player of the Day, giving him 9.4 for the season, eighth among NL pitchers.

Gray (6IP 4H R 2BB 7K W in the 8-1 win over the Angels) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 10.0 for the season, climbing to 10th place overall and fifth place among AL pitchers.
Gray becomes the 11th player to reach 10 Box-Toppers points this season. It is his seventh season with 10 or more points and fifth in a row. His best season was 2015 with the Athletics, when he had 17.8 points, sixth among AL pitchers. In 2025, he had 14.0 points with the Cardinals, ninth among NL pitchers.
Gray also now has 134.3 career Box-Toppers points, rising to 37th place among all players since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995.
