The New York Yankees maintain their Box-Toppers points lead among American League teams, while the Detroit Tigers earned the most points of any team since the All-Star break.
Brewers lead overall
The Brewers pass the Dodgers, who led nine straight team rankings reports from May 14 to July 12 and have led 13 of the past 14 reports. Los Angeles had also held the top spot among National League teams in each of the previous 14 reports dating back to April 9.
The Brewers have 81.6 Box-Toppers points, picking up 6.7 in the past week. They move just 0.1 point ahead of the Dodgers, who fall to second overall with 81.5 points, picking up 4.0 points in the past week.
The Brewers have baseball’s second-best winning percentage (.627), just behind the Dodgers (.631). They are led by pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who leads all players with 16.0 Box-Toppers points. Brewers’ top batter is William Contreras (4.7 points, 19th among NL batters). Twenty-seven Brewers have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Yankees lead AL teams
The Yankees lead AL teams for the 14th straight report with 72.6 Box-Toppers points (gaining 4.0 points in the past week), ahead of the Seattle Mariners (fifth overall, 69.5 points). The Yankees maintain fourth place overall.
New York has the second-best winning percentage among AL teams (.559), behind the Tampa Bay Rays (.578), who lead the Yankees in the AL East by two games. The Rays are sixth overall in Box-Toppers team rankings with 67.1 points, gaining 3.5 in the past week.
The Yankees are led by pitcher Cam Schlittler (13.7 points, fifth overall, second among AL pitchers). The Yankees’ top batter is Jazz Chisholm Jr. (4.5 points, 13th among AL batters). Twenty-five Yankees have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Hottest team: Detroit Tigers
The Tigers have gained the most Box-Toppers points in the past week and have also made the biggest jump in team rankings.
The Tigers gained 7.7 Box-Toppers points in the past week, winning five of their seven games, and rise six spots in team rankings from 23rd to 17th with 59.5 Box-Toppers points.
Biggest fall: Miami Marlins, Texas Rangers
Both teams dropped three spots this week:
The Marlins fell from eighth to 11th place with 62.3 points, gaining no points in the past week, losing all six of their games, extending their losing streak from before the All-Star break to nine games.
The Rangers dropped from 15th to 18th place with 59.3 points, gaining 3.0 points in the past week, winning two of their six games.
Last place: Athletics
The Athletics dropped from 29th to 30th (46.2 points, gaining 1.0 point this week). Meanwhile, the New York Mets climbed out of last place to 28th (48.2 points, picking up 5.0 points this week).
