The Los Angeles Dodgers lead Box-Toppers first weekly team rankings report of the 2026 season.
The New York Yankees lead American League teams, while the Minnesota Twins emerge as the week’s hottest team.
Dodgers lead
Dodgers players have accumulated 11.2 Box-Toppers points in the first two weeks of the season. They earned 5.2 points in the first week to rank eighth overall on April 2 and earned 6.0 points in the past week.
The Dodgers have baseball’s best winning percentage (.750) and are led by pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow, who have 2.0 Box-Toppers points each. Yamamoto ranks higher in overall Box-Toppers rankings than Glasnow (16th vs. 26th) with more 2025 points (17.7 vs. 5.0). Among National League pitchers, Yamamoto ranks sixth and Glasnow ranks 10th.

Yankees lead AL teams
The New York Yankees lead American League teams with 10.5 Box-Toppers points, and rank third overall. The Yankees were Box-Toppers’ hottest team during the first week of the season, earning 7.0 Box-Toppers points and ranking first overall. They fell to third place this week, earning 3.5 additional points.
The Yankees have the best winning percentage among AL teams (.667) and are led by pitcher Max Fried (4.0 points, second overall and second among AL pitchers). Yankees’ top batter is Amed Rosario (1.5 points, seventh among AL batters). Six different Yankees players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Hottest team: Twins
The Minnesota Twins earned more points than any other team this week (6.5), fueling a 23-spot jump to sixth place overall.
The Twins rise from 23rd to sixth place with 9.2 points.
Biggest fall: Nationals
The Washington Nationals fell from 14th to 29th place this week, falling 15 spots in team rankings, the biggest drop. The Nationals picked up 1.0 point in the past week, giving them 4.7 points in 2026.
Last place: Tigers
The Detroit Tigers fell from 27th place last week to 30th and last place this week with 4.5 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.5 in the past week. Last week’s lowest-ranked team, the Athletics, rose to 19th place with 6.7 points, picking up 5.7 in the past week.
