Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Wednesday, White Sox pitcher Davis Martin climbs to seventh place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Other top Wednesday players include Tyler Callihan of the Pirates and Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Yankees.

Player of the Day: Drew Rasmussen, Rays

Rasmussen struck out 13 over seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 7-5 win over the Red Sox.

Rasmussen earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, 25th among all players and 11th among American League pitchers.

NL Player of the Day: Tyler Callihan, Pirates.

NL Player of the Day: Tyler Callihan, Pirates

Callihan hit two home runs, including a three-run homer, in the 9-8 win over the Dodgers. Callihan went 2-for-2, scoring three times and driving in four runs.

Callihan earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points as National League Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 57th among NL batters.

This was Callihan’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Callihan made his Major League debut April 30, 2025, and was playing in his 11th career game.

AL Batter of the Day: Jazz Chisholm Jr., Yankees.

Chisholm tripled and went 1-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 8-4 win over the Guardians.

NL Batter of the Day

There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Wednesday because the overall NL Player of the Day is batter Tyler Callihan.

He ranks third among AL pitchers, trailing Gavin Williams of the Guardians and Cam Schlittler of the Yankees. While all three have 9.7 Box-Toppers points this season, Williams ranks ahead on a tiebreaker with the most 2025 points (11.7), Schlittler ranks second (7.4) and Martin ranks third (3.0).
