Marlins pitcher Tyler Phillips is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Phillips struck out five over five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks, in the 2-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

AL Player of the Day: Tyler Wells, Orioles

Wells struck out four over three scoreless and hitless innings of middle relief, walking one, in the 7-5 win over the Mariners.

Wells earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points as American League Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 85th among AL pitchers.
