No points are awarded for exhibition games, but were this an actual regular season day, this is how points would be awarded:
` Pitcher had a no‑decision in the game and did not pick up a win or a save.
Dates of games correspond to American time. For example, the WBC kicked off in Japan when it was March 5, but it was still March 4 in America.
NOTE: If BTP column is blank, that means the player has yet to make his Box-Toppers debut by winning his first career Player of the Game honor in a regular-season Major League game.

Logo source: Chris Creamer’s SportsLogos.Net

Rodríguez, who pitches for the Arizona Diamondbacks in Major League Baseball, struck out four over 4 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 3-2 win over the United States.

Rodríguez earned 4.7 Box-Toppers points in 2025 with the Diamondbacks, 69th among National League pitchers. In 2023 with the Tigers, he earned 13.0 Box-Toppers points, 12th among AL pitchers, but was limited by shoulder injuries in both 2024 and 2025. He made 10 starts in 2024 with the Diamondbacks, earning 1.0 Box-Toppers point.

Venezuela third baseman Maikel Garcia was named 2026 World Baseball Classic Most Valuable Player, going 10-for-26 in the tournament, with one home run, two doubles and seven runs batted in. On Tuesday, he drove in the team’s first run with a sacrifice fly. However, Garcia did not earn Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors in any WBC game in 2026. Garcia, who plays for the Kansas City Royals, earned 3.5 Box-Toppers points in 2025, eighth among AL third basemen.

Only one Venezuela player earned Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors more than once during the tournament: relief pitcher Enmanuel De Jesus, who did it March 7 in the win over Israel and March 14 in the win over Japan. De Jesus, currently in the Detroit Tigers organization, has yet to earn his first career Box-Toppers point.

Venezuela defeats the United States in the 2026 World Baseball Classic championship, 3-2. A look at how the runs were scored and the final out.

Other Venezuela players to win Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors in WBC games are outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. (Braves), relief pitcher Daniel Palencia (Cubs) and infielder Luis Arraez (Giants).

In the United States’ team wins, these were the Player of the Game winners:

Tuesday’s championship was the 47th and final game of the 2026 World Baseball Classic tournament that began March 4, featuring teams from 20 nations.

Here is a look back at the Box-Toppers Player of the Game winners in each of the 47 WBC games.
