Tyler Black of the Brewers is the Box-Toppers Player of the Day in Tuesday’s spring training games.

Also Tuesday, Paul Goldschmidt of the Yankees is American League Player of the Day.

Player of the Day: Tyler Black, Brewers

Black homered, doubled and went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in six runs, in the 10-0 win over the Athletics. While Black has appeared in 23 regular-season games over the past two seasons, he is still seeking his first career regular-season Box-Toppers point.

AL Player of the Day: Paul Goldschmidt, Yankees

Goldschmidt homered, doubled and went 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in four runs, in the 8-7 win over the Blue Jays.

The 38-year-old veteran holds 88.0 career points—ranking second among active batters (behind Freddie Freeman, 95.9) and first in the AL (ahead of Mike Trout, 87.2). Notably, Goldschmidt had no points in 146 games during the 2025 regular season, though he did earn three Player of the Game honors in spring training last year.

AL and NL Batters of the Day

Because Black and Goldschmidt swept the top overall honors, no separate American League or National League Batters of the Day were awarded for Tuesday.
