Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Other Player of the Game winners Sunday include Max Muncy of the Dodgers and Donovan Solano of the Mariners.

Luzardo struck out seven over 6 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 7-1 win over the Mets.

Luzardo earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.7 for the season, 11th among all players and fifth among National League pitchers.

Luzardo ranks behind Yankees pitcher Max Fried, who also has 8.7 points and is 10th overall, because Fried has more 2024 points than Luzardo—13.4 vs. 2.0.

American League Player of the Day is Donovan Solano of the Mariners.

National League Batter of the Day

Max Muncy of the Dodgers hit two home runs, including a grand slam, in the 13-7 win over the Nationals. Muncy went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in seven runs.
