Twins pitcher Pablo Lopez is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Lopez pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout, striking out 12 and walking none, in the 5-0 win over the Royals.

Lopez earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.0 for the season, 16th among all players and eighth among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day

Mets pitcher Kodai Senga struck out 12 over eight innings, allowing one run, four hits and one walk, in the 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Senga earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.7 for the season, 13th among all players and seventh among NL pitchers.

National League Player of the Day is Mets pitcher Kodai Senga.

National League Batter of the Day

Bryan De La Cruz of the Marlins doubled and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in two runs, in the 10-9 win over the Cardinals.

American League Batter of the Day

Yainer Diaz of the Astros hit two home runs and went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 6-4 win over the Rockies.

This was Diaz’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Diaz made his Major League debut Sept. 2, 2022, and was playing in his 54th career game.

American League Batter of the Day is Yainer Diaz of the Astros.
