Mariners pitcher Logan Gilbert is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Gilbert struck out nine over six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks, in the 3-0 win over the White Sox.
Gilbert earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 11.4 for the season, 26th among all players and 11th among American League pitchers.
Gilbert becomes the 38th player this season to reach 10.0 Box-Toppers points. It is his first season with 10.0 points. In his only previous season, 2021, he earned 7.0 Box-Toppers points with the Mariners, 37th among AL pitchers.
National League Player of the Day—Cubs pitcher Hayden Wesneski struck out eight over five scoreless innings as the closing pitcher, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 9-3 win over the Reds.
This was Wesneski’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. It was also his Major League debut.

National League Batter of the Day—Max Muncy of the Dodgers hit two home runs, doubled and went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in three runs, in the 6-3 win over the Giants.
Muncy earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 7.2 for the season, seventh among NL batters.
American League Batter of the Day—Randy Arozarena of the Rays hit a three-run homer, two doubles and went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in three runs, in the 8-4 win over the Red Sox.

Guardians pitcher Shane Bieber (8IP 4H R BB 7K W in the 4-1 win over the Royals) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 11.7 for the season, 23rd among all players and 10th among AL pitchers.
