Mariners pitcher Logan Gilbert is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Gilbert struck out nine over six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks, in the 3-0 win over the White Sox.

Gilbert earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 11.4 for the season, 26th among all players and 11th among American League pitchers.

Gilbert becomes the 38th player this season to reach 10.0 Box-Toppers points. It is his first season with 10.0 points. In his only previous season, 2021, he earned 7.0 Box-Toppers points with the Mariners, 37th among AL pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Cubs pitcher Hayden Wesneski struck out eight over five scoreless innings as the closing pitcher, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 9-3 win over the Reds.
