Mariners pitcher Bryce Miller is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Also Saturday, Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski rises to second place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day: Bryce Miller, Mariners
Miller struck out nine over six scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks, in the 4-0 win over the Tigers.
Miller earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 113th among all players and 40th among American League pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Ben Brown, Cubs
Brown struck out five over 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 3-2, 10-inning win over the Giants. Brown did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the game was in a scoreless tie when he exited.
Brown earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points as National League Player of the Day, giving him 6.4 for the season, 22nd among all players and 13th among NL pitchers.
AL Batter of the Day: Ernie Clement, Blue Jays
Clement hit a three-run homer, tripled and went 2-for-4, scoring three times and driving in three runs, in the 6-4 win over the Orioles.
NL Batter of the Day: Lars Nootbaar, Cardinals
Nootbaar hit an eighth-inning, pinch-hit, go-ahead, two-run homer in the 6-5 win over the Reds.
