Player of the Day: Luis Severino, Athletics
Severino struck out 10 over seven innings, allowing two runs, three hits and no walks, in the 3-2, 10-inning win over the Angels. Severino did not earn the win because the game was tied when he exited.
Severino earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 77th among all players and 30th among American League pitchers.
NL Player of the Day: Braxton Ashcraft, Pirates
Ashcraft struck out nine over seven innings, allowing one run, four hits and two walks, in the 6-2 win over the Cardinals.

NL Batter of the Day: Mike Yastrzemski, Braves
Yastrzemski homered, doubled and went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in two runs, in the 9-3 win over the Marlins.
