Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to third in season player rankings.

Also Friday, Padres pitcher Randy Vásquez rises to ninth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Other Player of the Game winners Friday include Diamondbacks pitcher Merrill Kelly, Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies and Cedric Mullins of the Rays.

Schlittler struck out nine over 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run, two hits and two walks, in the 5-2 win over the Mets.
