Rangers pitcher Kumar Rocker is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Other Player of the Game winners Saturday include Marlins pitcher Cal Quantrill, Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga, Lenyn Sosa of the White Sox and Ezequiel Tovar of the Rockies.

Rocker struck out five over 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and three walks, in the 4-1 win over the Tigers.

Rocker earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.7 for the season, 114th among all players and 41st among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day

Marlins pitcher Cal Quantrill struck out three over six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks, in the 3-1 win over the Royals. Quantrill did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Royals tied the game after he exited.

Quantrill earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 4.7 for the season, 37th among NL pitchers.

National League Player of the Day is Marlins pitcher Cal Quantrill.

American League Batter of the Day

Lenyn Sosa of the White Sox doubled and went 3-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 10-4 win over the Pirates.

Sosa earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.0 for the season, 12th among AL batters.

Ezequiel Tovar of the Rockies hit a three-run home run and went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 10-6 win over the Twins.
