Yankees pitcher Jameson Taillon is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Taillon struck out nine over seven innings, allowing one run, four hits and one walk, in the 12-1 win over the Mariners.

Taillon earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 5.0 for the season, 77th among all players and 29th among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Pirates pitcher Chad Kuhl struck out seven over six innings, allowing one run, four hits and no walks, in the 2-1 win over the Braves. Kuhl did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the game was tied when he exited.
