The New York Yankees maintain the Box-Toppers points lead among American League teams despite losing seven straight games, while the Tampa Bay Rays earned the most points in the past week.
Dodgers lead
The Dodgers remain in first place overall with 72.8 Box-Toppers points, gaining 6.2 this past week. They lead National League teams for the 13th straight week, ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers (67.9 points, +4.0 this week).
The Dodgers have baseball’s best winning percentage (.648) and are led by Shohei Ohtani with 12.7 Box-Toppers points (4.0 as a batter and 8.7 as a pitcher). He ranks third overall, first among NL batters and third among NL pitchers. Other key Dodgers players include pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto (7.7 points, 22nd among NL pitchers) and Andy Pages (5.7 points, sixth among NL batters). Twenty Dodgers have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Yankees lead AL teams
The Yankees lead AL teams for the 12th straight week with 61.1 Box-Toppers points (gaining no points this week), just ahead of the Seattle Mariners (fifth overall, 61.0 points). The Yankees fall just one spot from third to fourth place overall, despite losing all six of their games this week, extending their losing streak to seven.
New York has the second-best winning percentage among AL teams (.558), behind the Tampa Bay Rays (.607), who passed them this week in AL East standings and are now four games ahead.
While the Yankees gained the fewest points this week (0.0), the Rays gained the most (7.7), which boosted them from ninth to sixth place overall with 58.1 points. The Rays won all six of their games this week and are on an eight-game winning streak.
The Yankees are led by pitcher Cam Schlittler (11.7 points, fifth overall, first among AL pitchers). The Yankees’ top batter is Cody Bellinger (4.0 points, 10th among AL batters). Twenty-five Yankees have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2026.
Biggest jump: Texas Rangers
The Rangers rose seven spots, most of any team, from 20th to 13th place with 51.8 Box-Toppers points, gaining 6.0 in the past week. The Rangers won six of their seven games this week.
Biggest fall: Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles sank seven spots from 12th to 19th place with 49.2 points, gaining 1.0 point this week. While the Orioles won two of their six games this week, gaining 2.0 points, they traded pitcher Kyle Nicolas to the Nationals. Nicolas’ 1.0 point he earned with the Orioles this season moved with him to the Nationals.
Last place: New York Mets
The Mets fell from 29th to 30th place in team rankings with 39.2 points, picking up 2.0 in the past week.
Last week’s lowest-ranked team, the Boston Red Sox, rose to 27th place with 42.9 points, picking up 6.0 in the past week.
