Glasnow struck out nine over eight scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 3-0 win over the Giants.
Glasnow earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 5.7 for the season, third overall and first among National League pitchers, passing previous leader, Randy Vásquez of the Padres (5.4 points).
AL Player of the Day: Jacob deGrom, Rangers
deGrom struck out 10 over 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run, five hits and one walk, in the 6-1 win over the Pirates.
deGrom earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being American League Player of the Day, giving him 3.7 for the season, 12th overall and seventh among AL pitchers.
deGrom also now has 154.9 career Box-Toppers points, rising to 25th place among all players since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995. With his 1.7 points Thursday, he passes Adam Wainwright (153.3) on the “all-time” career points list and now trails 24th-ranked Mike Mussina (155.6). (It should be noted that Mussina would have an estimated 193 Box-Toppers points if his entire career from 1991 were tracked.)
deGrom ranks fifth among active, signed players in career points, fourth among active AL pitchers.
NL Batter of the Day: Ozzie Albies, Braves
