Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Thursday, Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón rises to fourth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors. Plus, Christian Yelich of the Brewers rises to first place among National League batters in player rankings after earning NL Player of the Day honors.

Player of the Day

Bibee struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 7-0 win over the Tigers.

Bibee earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 40th among all players and 20th among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day is Christian Yelich of the Brewers.

National League Player of the Day

Christian Yelich of the Brewers (2HR 2-3 3R 4BI in the 8-5 win over the Pirates) earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points, giving him 5.7 for the season, 15th among all players and rising to first among NL batters, passing previous leader Pete Alonso of the Mets (5.5 points), who falls to second place.

American League Batter of the Day

Taylor Ward of the Angels (GS 3-4 2R 5BI in the 10-5 win over the Athletics) earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points, giving him 3.5 for the season, seventh among AL batters.

National League Batter of the Day

Rodón (6IP 2H 0R 2BB 8K W in the 1-0 win over the Rangers) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 6.7 for the season. He ranks second among AL pitchers behind Bryan Woo of the Mariners (8.0 points).
