Also Monday, Royals pitcher Kris Bubic rises to fourth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Other Player of the Game winners Monday include Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo, Jesús Sánchez of the Marlins and Nolan Schanuel of the Angels.

Player of the Day

Gray struck out 10 over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 11-4 win over the Tigers.

Gray earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, rising to eighth place in season player rankings, second among National League pitchers behind Zack Wheeler of the Phillies (9.1 points).

Two other NL pitchers also have 6.0 points for the season, but Gray ranks highest among them because he had the most 2024 points (12.4), while third-place Nick Pivetta of the Padres had 9.7 and fourth-place Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers had 6.4.
