Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Kremer struck out six over six scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 11-1 win over the Reds.

Kremer earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 20th among all players and ninth among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day

Luis Garcia Jr. of the Nationals hit a home run and went 4-for-4, scoring twice and driving in four runs, in the 11-8 win over the Blue Jays.

Garcia earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 3.2 for the season, 38th among all players and second among NL batters, behind Francisco Lindor of the Mets (3.2). While both Lindor and Garcia have 3.2 points, Lindor ranks ahead because he has more 2023 points—4.0 vs. 2.5.

American League Batter of the Day

Jonny DeLuca of the Rays hit a walk-off triple and went 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 7-6, 10-inning win over the Mets.

This was DeLuca’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. DeLuca made his Major League debut June 7, 2023, and was playing in his 27th career game.
