Rays pitcher Taj Bradley is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Bradley struck out eight over six innings, allowing one run, three hits and no walks, in the 7-2 win over the Orioles.

Bradley earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 95th among all players and 36th among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day

Diamondbacks closing pitcher Scott McGough struck out four over two scoreless, hitless innings, walking none and earning the save, in the 5-1 win over the Brewers.

This was McGough’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. McGough made his Major League debut Aug. 20, 2015, and was playing in his 40th career game.

McGough earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, 91st among NL pitchers and 21st among NL closing pitchers.

National League Player of the Day is Diamondbacks closing pitcher Scott McGough.

American League Batter of the Day

Josh Naylor of the Guardians homered and went 4-for-4, scoring once and driving in two runs, in the 7-6 win over the Athletics.

Naylor earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 85th among all players and 17th among AL batters.

American League Batter of the Day is Josh Naylor of the Guardians.

National League Batter of the Day

Nico Hoerner of the Cubs homered, tripled and went 2-for-5, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 8-3 win over the Pirates.
